Picturing public service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

During more than a week of volunteer opportunities, Kaiser Permanente employees picked up trash, built gardens, spruced up public parks, painted houses, and so much more. Pictured, washing windows was part of volunteer activities for Kaiser Permanente employees at the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley.

Kaiser Permanente Northern California employees, their families, and friends fanned out across the region to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from January 9 to January 20 to volunteer in their communities.

Volunteers from the San Rafael Medical Center packed more than 100 tote bags with food at the North Marin Community Services in Novato. The bags will be distributed to local families in need.
