Celebrating well-being, gratitude for employees

Free popsicles, massage and yoga are just a few of the ways Kaiser Permanente is saying ‘thank you’ to employees at upcoming medical center events. Pictured, the event came to the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center recently. See a slideshow below of the first event in Santa Rosa.

Kaiser Permanente in Northern California is expressing gratitude for employees through a series of immersive, well-being celebrations at each of its 21 medical centers with activities, such as chair massage, a photo booth, free popsicles, flu shots, yoga, and more.

The events also remind employees of the well-being resources available in each Kaiser Permanente service area, such as the Live Well & Thrive podcast, which recognizes the hard work, dedication, and diversity of the Northern California Kaiser Permanente team.

The celebrations began last month at Santa Rosa, South Sacramento, and Roseville medical centers.

The next is scheduled for this fall at the Oakland Medical Center. Others are scheduled throughout the year, so be on the lookout for local announcements, said Michelle Hillyer, director of Internal Communications, Executive Communications and Special Projects.

“The purpose of these events is twofold,” said Hillyer, “One is to help employees be more aware of the well-being resources available to them, and the other is to celebrate all the work they’re doing and to demonstrate some gratitude.”

  1. I had an opt Appt on Wed Oct. 4 with Dr Harris. Vallejo Clinic 9:30 AM….Absolutely flawless experience. Main floor check-in, Dr Harris called me in from waiting area at 9:15 and performed all the necessary process for eye inoculations in both eyes. Amazing health care service. But, no surprise, as that is the usual practice in Ophthalmology. Great staff and great practice. Superb care always at Kaiser. Thanks to ALL!
