Stick to Fitness

Kaiser Permanente partners with the San Jose Sharks Foundation to improve total health at 10 low-income middle schools.

Kaiser Permanente physicians and San Jose Sharks players will be visiting 10 low-income middle schools this spring as part of a new partnership with the Sharks Foundation called Stick to Fitness. The five-week program is expected to reach about 3,000 sixth-graders. Stick to Fitness is part of KP’s long-time efforts to promote healthy eating and active living in the community, especially among young people. It also complements KP’s Thriving Schools Initiative, which works to create a culture of health and wellness for students, staff, and teachers, and at K-12 schools.
