Kaiser Permanente Specialty Units Training to Treat Ebola

While Kaiser Permanente front-line staff members across Northern California are receiving training to identify, isolate, escalate, and use the appropriate protection should they come in contact with a potential Ebola Virus Disease patient, physicians, nurses and other staff who have volunteered to care for Ebola patients have been taking part in their own rigorous training.

In this video, see Kaiser Permanente caregivers demonstrate the highly specialized protective equipment and intense training under way at the two Kaiser Permanente medical centers that have been designated for Ebola inpatient treatment — and hear from Stephen Parodi, MD, medical director of Regional Hospital Operations and an Infectious Disease specialist.
