Improving Access to Health Care

Kaiser Permanente’s Medical Financial Assistance Program is fundamental to its mission of improving the health of the communities it serves.

In 2016, Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s Medical Financial Assistance Program provided $83 million in temporary financial assistance and free health care. The program assists low-income, uninsured, and underserved patients who need help paying for the care they receive from Kaiser Permanente care teams.
