Former student reconnects with teacher, helps save his life

A heart attack brought a nurse at the Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center and her childhood teacher together.

When Kaiser Permanente member Fred Ilg was taken to the Fremont Medical Center with extreme chest pains, he didn’t expect to run into a familiar face. Cynthia Jose, one of his nurses, turned out to be his former student at Newark Junior High School. Watch the video to check out their story.
